Volunteer Spotlight: Mandi Crume

Mandi Crume joined Think Big in 2023 as a board member and has been pivotal in launching Career Exploration programming in Dallas. As the director of Global Talent Acquisition and Learning Development at Appspace, her passion for helping people find the right position and do what they love led her to Think Big. She believes that every person, regardless of their background, deserves an equal opportunity to love where they work. 

 Think Big Marketing Committee member Izzy Ramirez recently caught up with Mandi to ask her a couple of questions about her experience. 

 What advice would you give someone who wants to get involved with Think Big for Kids but doesn’t know where to start?

If you’re looking to get involved with Think Big for Kids, I’d suggest reaching out directly to your local advisory board. They likely have volunteer opportunities or specific programs that need support. Additionally, consider attending events or information sessions to learn more about the mission and how you can contribute. Remember, every little bit helps, so don’t hesitate to reach out and get involved!

What’s been the best part of joining Think Big for Kids?

The best part of joining Think Big for Kids has been the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children. Whether it’s through mentoring, volunteering, or supporting programs, knowing that I’m contributing to their positive development and future success brings immense satisfaction. Additionally, being part of a supportive community dedicated to empowering youth adds a sense of purpose and fulfillment to my own life.
