Sherri Hill

Sherri C. Hill is a seasoned educational leader, leadership coach, and adjunct professor at the University of West Georgia with more than 30 years of experience serving students, educators, and various organizations. Her passion for the success of children and their families is at the core of who she is as a citizen and as a leader.

Throughout her career, she held several leadership positions, including Chief of Staff, Chief School Leadership Officer, Interim Chief Academic Officer, Assistant Superintendent, Principal, and Assistant Principal. In addition to the leadership roles, she has served as an Instructional Lead Teacher, Mentor Teacher, Professional Learning Consultant, and Teacher.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Sherri began her educational career in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and has also served in the Prince George’s County Public School System in Maryland and the Cobb County School District in Georgia.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee State University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Coppin State College in Baltimore, Maryland, and a Specialist’s degree in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. She also holds a certificate in Human Capital in Leadership Education.

Sherri and her husband, Rod, met as undergraduate students and have been married since 1997. They are the proud parents of three adult daughters, and their dog Gentry, who is named after the place where we met. We love to travel, spend time with family, and listen to live music.

Her unique, pragmatic perspective motivates and inspires teachers, leaders and stakeholders to do the work needed to support communities and the students within the community.
