Saxon Baum is a Partner at Florida Funders, a hybrid venture capital fund and investor network, where he leads efforts to connect top-tier investors with the most promising entrepreneurs across the country. A lifelong entrepreneur, Saxon launched his first business at the age of 12, selling items on eBay, and has since built a career at the intersection of innovation and investing.
He graduated from Miami University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Entrepreneurship. While in college, Saxon co-founded his first venture-backed startup, WeVue, a corporate culture software company. Over six years, he scaled the business as Co-Founder and head of sales and marketing.
Saxon joined Florida Funders to begin his career in venture capital, where he has played a key role in scaling the firm’s assets under management, which surpassed $300 million by 2025. In addition to his role at the firm, Saxon is an active angel and venture capital investor, with a portfolio of more than 30 private investments. He focuses primarily on technology companies in both the private and public markets and holds a FINRA Series 65 license.
Outside of work, Saxon and his wife, Stephanie, are the proud parents of two children, their daughter Bari and son Banks.
