Peter Pilawa

For more than 25 years, Peter Pilawa has guided organizations and individuals through change. Today, he leads the Strategy & Transformation capability within the consulting team at Diconium US, a Volkswagen Group technology company. In 2025, he also founded LuminaConsult, LLC, an executive and career transition practice where he coaches leaders and professionals as they step into new roles or pursue a different path.

Before moving into advisory work, Peter spent nearly two decades at Audi of America, rising to Director of Strategic Transformation, a role reporting directly to the President. He led the company’s transformation agenda across electrification, digitalization, and customer experience, and helped shape its electric vehicle charging strategy. He began his career as an economist at DaimlerChrysler.

Peter holds a Master of Technology Management from Georgetown University, an MBA from Wayne State University, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. He is a native German speaker, fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, and lives in Fairfax, Virginia.
