Karen is a graduate of Montclair State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Family Science and Human Development with a concentration in Family Services, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During her studies, she completed coursework such as Poverty and Families and Working with Diverse Families, which strengthened her commitment to supporting children and families from all walks of life. 

She brings valuable nonprofit experience from her internship at Good Grief, where she helped facilitate peer support groups for children and families coping with loss while also assisting with program development and administrative projects to support the organization’s mission. In addition, she has hands-on experience working with children in the private school setting, which has further fueled her passion for creating positive and supportive environments for youth.

Passionate about helping others, Karen is dedicated to using her education and experiences to empower young people and families to thrive.
